PP’s Nest Guest House is housed in a truly Heritage Building with wooden staircase and arches . The building was constructed in the late Nineteenth Century and has an imposing gari Verandah. Exact year of construction seems to be around 1890 AD as per records. In those days of the British Raj was at its height . Lord Lansdown was the Viceroy of India and Calcutta was the Capital of British India . In 1903 the City Telegraph & Commercial College was established in this building which gave a stiff competition to The George Telegraph Institute setup in 1920. The City Telegraph Institute carried on their activities of training young boys & Girls of Calcutta & Bengal for a pretty long time in the 20th Century till the present owners acquired it and transformed it into a Hotel
